The Intensive Summer Dance (July 1 - July 12, 2012) is a two-week program in ballet, modern and contemporary dance.
The program is open to students from all around the world who love dancing and have significant experience in Ballet or Modern techniques.
The students must be 15-20 years old during the time of the program.
These two incredible weeks include:
• 10 intensive days of dancing, between 6-7.5 hours a day of training within a wide variety of styles with special attention to KCDC's demanding material and repertoire.
• enriching activities like arts, dance and music shows every evening.
• The program is designed to give young dancers a taste of what a KCDC dancer’s life is all about: refining their technique and performance, experiencing Israel and making friends from all over the world.
• Both English and Hebrew are spoken in the program.
A Typical Day at the Kcdc summer dance program:
•The day begins, after breakfast, in one of Galilee Dance Village’s six large studios with a ballet technique class, followed by a modern technique class or a different type of style such as musicals, Jazz and contact-improvisation.
•After lunch, we continue to work through Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s extensive repertoire. The dancers will learn parts from the company's repertoire made by Rami Be’er, the main choreographer of the company, such as:
Aide -memoire, Ekodoom, 60HZ,

•Afternoons are mostly spent resting and chilling out in Kibbutz Ga’aton’s beautiful lush green environment. Also, stretching classes are sometimes offered in the swimming pool.
After dinner, students can relax and participate in fun activities such as: painting, meditation, yoga, jewelry making, music, watching company dance shows and other indoor social activities.
• The teachers include dancers from the two companies, ballet masters from Israel and abroad, directors of the company and dancers from other companies around Israel and Europe. All teachers speak English and Hebrew.
• Students will enjoy a full service dining room, and will be living in guest rooms of the kibbutz. They are supervised by a professional staff 24/7, and counselors are always available to meet all of their needs.
• The company also has a physiotherapist, and massages will be available for students in need of treatment.
• During the one weekend, the dancers will visit important sites in Israel.

Once the online application has been submitted, dancers will receive an e-mail confirmation and will be instructed about the next step for their registration.
PAYMENT TERMS
Registration Fee : 200$
Tuition Fee: 2050$
This includes the program itself, activities, food, medical insurance, one weekends trip, accommodations.
