An Inspirational Day Program Tailored for School Students

A unique opportunity to experience the fascinating world of Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company dancers, blending the art of dance with values of excellence, initiative, perseverance, equality, community, and uncompromising creativity.

The highlight day takes place at the International Dance Village in Kibbutz Ga’aton in the Western Galilee, home to the company and a training and creation hub for hundreds of dancers from around the world. The day’s program includes behind-the-scenes access, engaging workshops, and a live performance.

Program of the Day:

• Tour of the Dance Village: A rare behind-the-scenes look at the company. Students will watch a short film covering the founding story of the company and the legacy of Yehudit Arnon, the company’s founder, who, during her time in Auschwitz, vowed that if she survived, she would dance forever. Today, the Dance Village is the realization of her dream.

• Performance from Kibbutzit 2 Repertoire: A powerful and inspiring performance that introduces students to the pinnacle of the company’s creations. The performance selection can be tailored to suit the students’ ages, chosen from a dedicated repertoire for this day.

• Rhythm and Movement Workshops: An exciting, bonding, hands-on experience suitable for all ages, requiring no prior movement experience.

• Closing Session with the Dancers: An open conversation including a Q&A, during which students can speak with the dancers and company directors and gain inspiring insights into the creative process and life in the Dance Village.
