The Dance Journey program was easily the most transformative experience of my life. For 5 months I was able to allow dance to be my sole focus without the distractions and obligations of daily life.

The schedule is essentially wake up, walk across a field of poppies (flowers), dance for 8 hours and then spend evenings sharing experiences with 40 people from across the globe!

It’s the kind of idealized environment that you cannot find anywhere else. It was definitely a cultural shift to transition from the bustling streets of New York City to the quiet intense community of the kibbutz, but it taught me so much about myself and how I want to exist in the world.

The friends I’ve made from this program are still some of my closest relationships two years later and the international alumni community has welcomed me all over the world! I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants a chance for dance to be their primary priority in a space surrounded by people who share your passion and willingness to push themselves into foreign territory.
