Avishag Kimchi

I was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience—joining the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s MASA program, breathing dance, and living it alongside professional teachers and lifelong friends.

It was five months full of learning and professionalism, noticeable progress day by day, joy, and the fulfillment of a dream. I got a real glimpse into the life of a dancer during that time. I saw myself improving from class to class and was amazed by how much knowledge I gained in such a short period.

I discovered that I’m capable of so much more than I thought—thanks to the encouragement from the teachers and the personal attention we received.

I met people from all over the world—and made lifelong friends, friends I even saw again after crossing continents.
