Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC), one of the leading dance companies in the world, is identified with the work of acclaimed Artistic Director Rami Be’er whose exclusive and unique choreographic character has become the company’s trademark both in Israel and abroad. The company performs regularly in some of the most respected theaters and festivals worldwide.
KCDC was founded in 1970 by the late Yehudit Arnon who laid the foundation for today’s thriving International Dance Village which was developed and continues to evolve into a first-class center for dance under the leadership of Rami Be’er and KCDC’s management and staff.
The company’s heart and home at The International Dance Village in the historic Western Galilee region of northern Israel is also home to the main company, its second company (KCDC 2), the 5-month pre-professional international Dance Journey study abroad dance program for dancers and dance students ages 18 years and up along with the annual 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week Kibbutz Summer Intensive in Israel for high school and university-age dance students ages 13-30 from across the world.
