Excellence Program

Beyond its artistic achievements, the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company is deeply committed to education, enriching the dance community, and advancing the art of dance in peripheral regions. The Excellence Program, established nearly 15 years ago, stands as a prestigious initiative aimed at nurturing exceptional dance students aged 15-18 from Israel’s northern periphery.

Designed to cultivate talent in technique, personal expression, and creativity, this intensive program offers weekly sessions throughout the academic year. Under the guidance of the company’s top teachers and dancers, students receive unparalleled training and mentorship.

This program is specifically tailored for outstanding dance students currently enrolled in dance schools across northern Israel. It brings world-class dance education and professional opportunities directly to their local communities, enabling them to engage with the global dance scene without leaving the periphery. Admission is highly competitive, with participants selected through a rigorous audition process. Once accepted, students engage in high-level repertoire classes, classical training, and enrichment in various disciplines, preparing them to meet the demands of a professional dance career.

For twelfth-grade students aspiring to join the “Outstanding Dancer in the IDF” program, personalized mentoring is available. This includes 10 dedicated sessions with a Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company dancer, providing tailored support for audition preparation and choreography development.

Auditions for the Excellence Program are held annually in September.
