Wild, untamed, soft, and sensual dance. A fascinating work that demands total focus and dedication from the dancers to the choreography. A dance in which images of urban alienation pass across the stage without alienating the audience. As the title suggests, Ir Aruma (“Naked City”) conveys tension without resorting to violence, depicting difficult relationships between people through intense, yet not overtly aggressive, movement.
16 dancers deliver a high-quality and captivating performance. The work was originally created by Be`er for the Opera Company of the city of Graz, Austria, and received enthusiastic responses from both critics and audiences.
